Brief: To make a lamp using contour lines
About the project:
A short exercise, where I explored the use of contour lines through slicer to create an MDF lamp. Murasaki means purple in Japanese, one of my favourite colours and less used in lighting structures.
The form was inspired by Japanese lanterns, which I later changed a little to add an element of interest.
The lamp was really quick to make and assemble, cut in a 2.5 mm MDF sheet and a 3 mm Acrylic sheet for the extra details.
